MSI Wind is basically good for net surfing and some light applications. for heavy gaming and multi-tasking apps, i would still use those heavy, bulky laptops.

i just bought an MSI Wind notebook. i was surprised about how lightweight this gadget is. the features are pretty basic for a netbook but it is sufficient for my application.

Use a desktop/laptop that has an optical drive. Change settings on the computer so that hidden files are shown. Insert Disc in drive, and USB drive to USB slot. Create a folder if you wish on the USB drive (can use name of app). Browse CD/DVD using whatever file browser you have on the computer (probably Windows Explorer). Copy all files (includes hidden) on the CD/DVD to the folder created on the USB drive. Can now install on your Netbook. Should change settings back to hidden files not shown on desktop. To install to Netbook, plug USB drive into Netbook, use file browser to navigate to folder created in earlier step. Look for executable setup program, usually called 'SETUP' or 'INSTALL' and double click on it.

Asus Eee is very convenient to carry. It is my walkaround laptop wherever i go. The battery life could have been better though
