The HP Slate (500) is HP's first edition to the fast-moving tablet market. The Slate is an 8.9" device that runs Windows 7 and it looks very sleek with great lightweight portability.
HP have attempted to reproduce the PC experience in a tablet model and it is one of the few tablets on the market that operates more like a PC than an extended smartphone. But the PC feel comes at a price as the Slate is quite expensive in comparison to its competitors. HP have clearly tried to corner the business end of the market with their tablet with the device running all your MS Office applications with ease. The Slate also comes equipped with front and back cameras which enable video conferencing.
In terms of availability the HP Slate is available for purchase online and HP are also approaching businesses through a direct sales force.
