T-Mobile/ICD Vega Tablet

The ultra slim 15" Vega tablet is the only device I have come across that markets itself as a "family communication network". Rather than focusing on the geek chic technology savvy market ICD and T-Mobile have turned their attention to the mass family market. Perhaps the Vega's unique selling point is the fact that the device can be accessed remotely by multiple users making it quick and simple to access household members calendars and activities.

The Vega runs Android but it doesn't include the Android marketplace application which may be a negative for some consumers. The interface is optimised for touch and is very simple to use. In addition to the family calendar app the Vega is also ideal for surfing the net and viewing media online.

It is expected to be one of the cheapest tablet devices on the market.

It is clearly and ideal device for a large, active, busy family who are looking for a contemporary alternative to post-it notesĀ  and home made charts on the fridge door.
