The Blackberry Playbook

Blackberry Playbook TabletRIM have finally entered the tablet market with the new, stylish Blackberry Playbook. Although techno leaders Apple are thought to have the majority of the tablet and smart phone market covered with their ipad and iphone there is still a sizeable slice that remains loyal and interested in Blackberry. Owners of Blackberry's current PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) devices are undoubtedly counting down the days until the Playbook is on the market; although Blackberry's new tablet is sure to have a wider appeal reaching much further than current Blackberry customers. And RIM have certainly done their homework on, what is their biggest competitor, ipad.

Here is the need to know info on the newest edition to the tablet market:

Through Bluetooth technology the Playbook syncs effortlessly with Blackberry PDA's and will complete with Adobe Flash when you hook up to the Blackberry exchange servers. Initially the tablet will be Wifi enabled with 3G and 4G tablets coming later.

The Playbook is due for release in the US very soon, February 2011 - it will then be available on other markets in the near future. The suggested timing for the release means that Blackberry will be going head to the head with Apples latest tablet offering the ipad 2.
